A hidden gem in Upstate New York, the Green Lakes State Park is absolutely striking. The park features two green, glacial lakes surrounded by thick forests.
Both lakes are meromictic lakes, which means that there is no mixing of the water layers – this feature is very rare and makes these lakes some of the most studied in the world. You’ll take an hour-long walk-hike around both lakes which will bring you to these Caribbean-like views.
