The first thing that meets you in Peterhof is a luxurious cascade of fountains – The Chess Fountain. The cascade consists of four skates, each of which is decorated in the form of a chessboard.
From the square where the cascade is located, you can make a tour on the train in the Alexandria Park, bordering the Lower Park. This trip can be considered as an option for a short rest after a walk. The duration of the trip is 30-40 minutes.

Go inside the Grottos of the Big Cascade for an excursion to see the dungeons of the palace, the first wooden pipes and the fountain team, and also to take photos against the backdrop of a cascade from the side where there are very few people.

The Grand Palace, together with the Grand Cascade in front of it, is the main attraction of Peterhof and the architectural dominant of the entire palace and park complex. In the XVII - XIX centuries, the Grand Palace was the ceremonial residence of Russian tsars, where important events, celebrations and receptions, balls and masquerades were held.
If you want to go inside, get ready for the big lines. We advise you to look outside and continue the walk through Peterhof.

Friends of mdivision – the art-residence in two minutes walk from the Upper Park. Various events and exhibitions are often held here, and in the Q-cafe you can have a tasty lunch to rest and relax after the first part of the walk.

The upper garden of Peterhof is almost Versailles! The area is 15 hectares. The garden plays an important role in the artistic appearance of the ensemble of Peterhof and is a ceremonial courtyard – the Kurdoner.

After lunch, go down to the Lower Park and go past the Monplaisir Palace, the design of which belongs to Peter the Great. From Monplaisir in different directions, there are three alleys, one of them goes to the Chess Fountain, and the other two will lead to the fountains called "Pyramid" and "Adam".

Slowly move towards the pier. The last meteor leaves at 19:00, so there should be enough time, and you can freely walk around the park.

You can also go down to the water to enjoy the view of The Gulf of Finland and to put tired feet in cool waters.
