After breakfast at your hotel, you'll drive to the 18th-century Löwenburg Castle in Kassel. Part of the sprawling UNESCO World Heritage Site Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, Löwenburg Castle is open to visitors with a guided tour of the inside (offered hourly). Or, if you prefer, you can explore other Wilhelmshöhe sites, such as the Hercules Monument, beautiful water features, a grotto, and much more.

Leave your car here and walk about 15 minutes to reach the GRIMMWELT museum.

Your next stop is the Grimmwelt museum. Did you know that the Brothers Grimm not only produced famous fairy tales, they were also ground-breaking linguists? The Grimmwelt museum is the perfect place to dive into the world of the multifaceted Brothers Grimm. This extensive museum offers creative, active, and playful exhibits to explore. You can also stop for Kaffee und Kuchen (coffee and cake) at the museum café.

Walk back to the car park and carry on to the next stop.

Your next stop is an opportunity to connect with the local environment by walking down a special nature path with bare feet. On the 1500-metre circular trail you'll encounter 30 different stations that will delight your senses.
You can park at the Wanderparkplatz and walk (with shoes) to the entrance of the Barfußpfad (barefoot path). If the barefoot path is closed for the season, you can instead enjoy the 1 km walk on the adventure trail from the car park.
