    Discover Florida's Space Coast

As you drive away from Orlando and the magical world of Disney, you’ll start your day on Florida’s Space Coast, learning about NASA and the history of space exploration at the incredible Kennedy Space Center. NASA has launched every human launch from here, so you can imagine how much history is packed into this location.
Most of your day will be spent here, and you’ll start your journey down the famous A1A Highway. It’s one of the first highways built in the state, and stops along most cities and towns down the Atlantic Coast. The day ends in the beautiful town of Vero Beach, a quiet and relaxing town with lots of charm.

There are so many attractions that it's recommended you plan to arrive as soon as the centre opens at 9:00 a.m., so you can take advantage of the day.
    – The most popular attraction here is the shuttle that will take you up close to the actual launch pads and the Apollo/Saturn V Center. Ensure you do this as soon as you arrive, since the last shuttle leaves at 2:30 p.m. – You can opt for the more in-depth experience and book the KSC bus tour, which has the same route as the shuttle, but you can actually stop and get off the bus and see the launch pads up close. – After this experience, go to the Space Shuttle Atlantis building, which has lots of interactive exhibits and high-tech simulators, and then end your day with one of the many IMAX films about space exploration.
The visitor complex has plenty of food options, so you can have lunch and grab some space dots for dessert. There’s also an option to have lunch with an astronaut and ask them questions you have always been curious about.
It’s recommended that you plan this day about two weeks before the day that you want to arrive. General admission can be booked online for a family of six people but, if you want to add any upgrades, it’s best to call. Make sure you check NASA’s website for their rocket launches to see if your trip lines up with a launch.
    Opening Hours: Monday – Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Call Center: +18554334210
For more information, please visit Kennedy Space Center website and events calendar.
Also, check the rocket launch calendar before planning your trip if you are interested in seeing rocket launches. If you can't get tickets to enter the visitor's complex, don’t worry, because there are still plenty of things that you can explore in the surrounding areas. The beaches and parks that are located on Merrit Island are closed due to security reasons related to the Kennedy Space Station, but your best options for beaches that will allow you to see several launch pads are Playalinda and Jetty Park Beach. There are several guided tours for kayak, paddleboard, and airboats to explore the natural sites along the intercoastal waters.
