The Way Back to Geneva

It’s hard to leave the castle, but another outstanding day awaits you! You’ll start in the centre of Grenoble, in the Jardin de Ville, the green heart of the city. A nice walk to start the day, surrounded by trees and an old palace.

You’ll have a beautiful walk through the city centre from the park to this monument. The monument is in Notre-Dame square, a nice place to take some pictures, surrounded by ancient palaces. The monument commemorates the pre-revolutionary events of 1788 in the city.

This old fortress from the 19th century is accessible by cable car and the views from the top are spectacular, making it the city's main attraction!
At the top, there’s a museum and a couple of restaurants where you can have snacks. If you don't want to go by cable car, you can also reach the top by car or on foot.

This mountain pass is well known for its ski resort. Undoubtedly one of those places where you want to stay, chill, and enjoy nature. This is where you can find a spot for your picnic. Could there be a better place to have lunch than surrounded by forest and mountains?

In this small village in the middle of the mountains, you’ll feel like a time traveller! It looks like a fairy tale, with an old church and a small palace. You’ll feel the pure, clean air, the sound of the flowing river, and the calming wind. Don't forget to take lots of pictures to show your friends back home!

Another charming town that takes on the character of the river that crosses it. The calmness will embrace you, so it’s time to relax and have a coffee or tea at Papilles et Papote, in the town’s main square (70 Place Centrale).
If you feel energetic, you can walk the Boucle du Grepon, a circular route that lasts around 2 hours.
