    Venice Beach

    Venice Beach

    Open Details
Venice beach is known as the shark-tooth capital of the world. This beautiful beach town was inspired by its more famous Italian namesake because the city was built around water. You’ll find canals throughout the city and spectacular boutique shops in the downtown area as you drive toward the beach area. Venice has several beaches: South Brohard Beach, Nokomis Beach, Caspersen Beach, and Venice Municipal Beach, where you can find free parking and showers available for you to rinse off at the end of your stay.
You’ll find people knee-deep in the water hunting for fossilised shark teeth, so do as the locals do. You don't have to go very far into the water to search for them. They’re easy to spot since they’re black and the sand is a beautiful soft white colour. You can use your hands to hunt for them or rent tools at the entrances of the beaches.

You can also rent kayaks to explore the calm and relaxing waters on your own, or go on guided tours.
